Location: The Hague, (2 days onsite per week)
Details:
The database administrator is responsible for the quality, timeliness, completeness and consistency of data in a database. The database manager (as opposed to data manager) is operationally responsible for data.
As a Database Administrator, you will have the following responsibilities:
- The database administrator often creates the data model for an application in collaboration with an information analyst or architect and manages that model including the rules that need to be secured to keep the data current, consistent, and so on.
- The database administrator verifies the production results (on the aspect of data consistency and correctness) and performs periodic analyses on the quality of the data.
Also responsible for:
- Database back-up and recovery;
- Security;
- Authentication;
- Capacity planning;
- Data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL);
- Performance tuning;
- Troubleshooting.
As a Database Administrator, you have the following properties:
- At least 2 years of experience in DBA work;
- Knowledge in the field of MySQL and/or PostgreSQL;
- Database replication;
- Experience working in a Linux environment;
- Communicative;
- Full-time (32-40 hours per week);
- Fluent in Dutch.
