Senior Data Governance Lead - 3 months renewable contract - Remote
As the Digital Data Governance and Compliance Lead, you will play a key role in shaping strategic approach to data governance and compliance. You will utilising Informatica tools like Data Quality, Data Catalogs, Marketplace, and Data Lineage, along with technologies such as Snowflake and Power BI. This role demands a strategic leader adept at developing and enforcing a comprehensive data governance framework to ensure legal and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with IT, legal, data privacy, and other business units to optimise data management practices.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive data governance and compliance framework using Informatica's suite of tools to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
- Integrate data governance tools and technologies such as Master Data, Snowflake, and Power BI to enhance analytics, reporting, and decision-making.
- Establish and maintain policies, standards, and guidelines for data collection, storage, access, and use, ensuring alignment with GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct detailed data audits and assessments to identify compliance risks, data quality issues, and inefficiencies. Implement corrective measures to mitigate risks.
- Engage with IT, legal, security, and business stakeholders
- Serve as a subject matter expert on data protection laws and regulations, providing guidance
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve data-related issues and promote best practices
- Oversee regulatory inquiries and audits related to data governance and compliance
Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or compliance, with significant experience in implementing and managing Informatica data governance tools (e.g., CDQ, CDGC, CDMP).
- Expertise in Snowflake, Power BI, and other data governance and analytics tools.
- Comprehensive knowledge of data protection laws and regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
- Expertise in Informatica data governance tools and technologies.
