On behalf of one of our key partners, RED now has a new opportunity for a Deployment Engineer to join a long-term cloud infrastructure initiative supporting secure, large-scale deployments of Google Distributed Cloud Hosted (GDCH).
The role is based in Germany, and requires someone to be based in Germany (Munich) on a hybrid working basis and fluent in English, German would be a plus.
Specific skills/experience required:
- 3+ years of experience with systems automation, design, and infrastructure operations
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP and networking concepts (e.g., PXE boot, Subnets, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, SSH, NIC Teaming, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Linux, Kubernetes, and/or storage technologies
- Solid scripting knowledge (Bash, Python, Perl, etc.) for automation tasks
- Strong troubleshooting skills and customer-facing communication
- Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners
Preferred:
- Experience in Customer Solution Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering
- Familiarity with physical infrastructure (servers, networking, storage)
- Previous experience delivering technical enablement or deployment training
